Open Positions
Ph.D. Students
I am currently searching for motivated students interested in the broad area of networked dynamic systems and multi-agent systems. Opportunities available to pursue research in a variety of topics including formation control of sea-land-air-space vehicles, optimization theory for “smart-grid” applications, and fundamental research in optimization and control theory. Interested students are free to visit me in my office or contact me via email.
Post-doctoral Research Associate
The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (Haifa, Israel) has a position open for a postdoctoral research associate.
The current project is related to the analysis of uncertain networked dynamic systems and the robust design of these systems. The broad nature of this project allows for a variety of research directions, including
- A robustness framework for networked dynamic systems
- Fault-detection and isolation for networked dynamic systems
- Distributed control and estimation strategies for multi-agent systems (options for both theoretical and experimental work)
- Optimization methods for distributed power systems (i.e., the “smart-grid”).
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. (or will graduate with one soon) in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering (or related discipline) with a strong foundation in systems & control theory and optimization theory. The candidate should also be familiar with current results in the area of networked and multi-agent dynamical systems. Interested applicants should send a CV, publication list, and research statement via email to Asst. Professor Daniel Zelazo dzelazo@technion.ac.il.
Undergraduate Semester Projects
I am currently looking for eager undergraduate students interested in the modeling and control of quadcopter drones. Interested students should fill out the form below:
